Perform routine nursing-related services to patients in hospitals or long-term care facilities, under the training or supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Duties may include: bathing, dressing, and undressing patients; serving food and collecting food trays; transporting patients using wheelchairs; and taking temperature and blood pressure readings. Work in hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical facilities.

Admission Requirements
The following admission requirements are to be received prior to the first day of class. *Please note: requirements and tuition are to be received by the main office only.

1. Identification (i.e. copy of drivers license, birth certificate, green card) *applicants must be at least 16 years of age
2. Criminal record background check (no one with a felony will be accepted into the NA program)
3. Proof of TB test within past 12 months
4. Interview with Program Director and pre-entrance exam

Tuition and Fees:
1. Non-refundable application fee $50.00 (includes fee and NA packet)
2. NA Program cost: $1,125.00
   This includes the following:
      Tuition
      Textbook
      State Competency Testing
Total = $1,175.00

Care Med accepts the following methods of payment: cash, personal check, visa or MasterCard. Please note: a $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.

What you need for your class:
1. Uniform (Navy blue scrub top & bottom)

Training and Content:
Care Recipient:
Personal hygiene including bathing, grooming and dressing.
-Ambulation and movement including range of motion, turning, positioning and transferring.
-Nutrition and elimination including meal assistance, hydration, toileting, and bowel and bladder training.
-Environmental and personal safety involving housekeeping concerns, adaptive devices, and special clothing, including personal protective equipment.
-Environmental support including appropriate behavioral responses, the aging process, identification of resources, preservation of dignity, assuring freedom from fear/reprisal.
-Comfort, rest and activity including privacy, physical and occupational skills.
-Admitting, transfers, and discharges.
Caregiver Skills Including:
-During emergency situations including appropriateness of action or non-action, fire drills, security of the environment, available resources.
-Time management, organizational. Death and dying.
-Comparison to home health, medical surgical, SNF/ICF level of care, residential care, hospice, and pediatrics etc.
-Communication skills including documentation and working under the supervision of a nurse.

Admission Requirements

  1. Completed application with $150.00 non refundable application fee and $100.00 liability insurance fee.
  2. Copy of drivers license or birth certificate
  3. Completed health form with record of immunization for Hep B and Varicella (chicken pox)
  4. Criminal record background check.
  5. HS diploma with official transcript or GED certificate
  6. Two references
  7. Current TB results or chest x-ray
  8. Copy of current LNA license
  9. Must pass NET exam with a score of 50% Math and 60% English or better.
  10. Computer access for daily assignments

Students are to be dressed in their school uniforms at all times while in the classroom or clinical setting. The school uniform consists of:
-School scrubs
-White socks or tan hose
-White shoes or sneakers (no open back shoes)
-School identification name badge


Training Content
The PN program consists of 1080 hours of theoretical and clinical training which meets the regulations set forth by the NH Board of Nursing. Our program is broken into trimesters, each consisting of 15 weeks of study. Students will meet three days a week for a total of 45 weeks. Curricular content includes but is not limited to:
  1. Anatomy and Physiology
  2. Pharmacology
  3. Math for Meds
  4. Fundamentals of Nursing
  5. Mental Health Nursing
  6. Pediatrics and OB
  7. Adult Nursing
  8. Community Health
  9. Practical Vocational Nursing
 Train the Trainer Program



Care Med’s Train the Trainer program was written to the NH Board of Nursing guidelines for a TTT course and includes all aspects of said guidelines. Each potential instructor will be required to teach a didactic lesson and a clinical procedure on a pre-assigned topic using a lesson plan.

This 12 hour program is designed to be taught in three 4 hour classes. Each potential instructor will receive a copy of the test used in our program as well as the curriculum.

Potential instructors will receive a certificate upon successful completion of Care Med’s Train the Trainer program.

Cost of program:
Registration Fee- $25.00 (non-refundable)
Tuition- $375.00


*Potential instructors hired by Care Med Educational Services® LLC will not be charged for this program, however a 6 month contract with the company will be required.
